In this class, you’ll learn how to observe your natural breath to quiet the mind, reduce stress, and cultivate inner peace. Qigong & Introduction to Tai Chi Chuan
5:30 - 6:30 pm | Starting Mondays, Jan 5th
First two classes are Free to Public, January 5th & 12th
Each class begins with Roots and Branches 5-Element Qigong, a sequence of conscious, relaxed movements and standing postures developed by the Tai Chi Foundation. These practices help improve balance, ease tension, and open the flow of “qi” — the body’s natural vitality.
After Qigong, we explore core Tai Chi principles such as relaxation, alignment, softness, balanced posture, and coordinated, conscious movement. We will practice several introductory movements from the Tai Chi form, giving a true sense of how Tai Chi feels and how it supports health, grounding, and inner quiet.
This class is a complete weekly practice for well-being, and it also offers a clear pathway into the 10-Week Tai Chi Form Course beginning later in the season.
No experience is needed. All movements can be adapted for any body or ability.
Your first class is always free. Drop in for $20, use a Class Pass, or attend free with an Unlimited Membership
